Bass Drum and Gong
Bass drum mallets come standard on oak handles. Igor, Slugger, and Puffabelly models are made with 3/4" diameter handles; Dual Staccato, General BD, and Boomer are made with 1" diameter handles.
Bass drum mallets are also available with metal "Philia" handles. The Greek word "philia" roughly translates to "brotherly love," and is where the "City of Brotherly Love" gets it's name. The name Philia was chosen to pay homage to the great Philadelphia percussion tradition that has played a role in my own education and inspired the design. The Philia option includes 3/4" aluminum shafts for the Igor, Slugger, and Puffabelly models, and 1" stainless steel shafts for the Dual Staccato, General BD, and Boomer models.
